What is Lord of the Rings Online?
The Lord of the Rings Online is  the first massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) set in the world of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings.


What is an MMORPG?
MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role-playing game. In an MMORPG, thousands of players exist in the same game world at the same time. This creates an incredibly rich and active environment in which interesting things are constantly taking place. MMORPGs provide thousands of hours of game play, with a nearly infinite variety of goals to achieve across a vast world covering miles of land and sea. 

Defenders of Justice is a Guild / Kinship.
The Defenders of Justice has formed a Kinship to help with player co-operation.  Playing within a Kinship is always a good idea.  Kinships are a great way to find and make friends.  They are also a good resource in getting help and seeking out players with  mutual goals and or aspirations.  LOTRO has a "built in" voice chat system so people can be in touch with and co-operate with each other at an unprecedented level not seen before in most MMORPG's.

What makes LOTRO different from other MMORPGs?
This game has an emersion quality all its own.  If you are a Tolken fan and want to interact with all the characters found in the Lord of the Rings trilogy than this game is for you.  LOTRO is also the latest large scale  MMORPG using all the latest technologies and features found in most  MMORPG's and more. LOTRO has all the standard features most MMORPG's have like crafting, mail, banking an auction house and mounts.

Here are some features you will find in LOTRO.?

Trait System:  Acquiring and activating Traits is one of the most flexible methods for customizing your character.  Traits are new skills, bonuses, and other enhancements that benefit your character. There are four main categories of Traits: Virtue, Race, Class, and Legendary, which are earned by completing Deeds, quests, and other achievements during your adventures. Your Deed Log contains information about which of your current Accomplishment goals will reward you with a Trait.

Fellowship Maneuvers:  Fellowship and teamwork are important theme in LOTRO.  Players who group together can execute powerful combined-effort attacks called Fellowship Maneuvers. Teamwork in combat is the basis of the Fellowship Maneuver system; the more coordinated your fellowship is, the more powerful the results can be! Fellowship Maneuvers can also be used to make up for gaps in a fellowship's abilities. For example, healing-based Fellowship Maneuvers can be life-savers for a fellowship that doesn't contain a dedicated  healer.
 

Monster Play:  LOTRO offers a unique form of player vs. player combat known as monster play. Players are transported to the Ettenmoors, a consensual PvMP (Player vs. Monster Player) region about the size of the Shire. Here, the Free Peoples and the forces of Angmar are in constant active conflict, and players can choose to join the fight as either their normal Free Peoples character, or as one of the servants of the Enemy!
